Asakusa

It is called “Shitamachi (the old town of Edo / Tokyo);.  Edo-kko (people who is from such an area) is an image of this area. Edo-kko can’t pronounce “su”... it ends up becoming said with a "shi" sound. Now, how is it, maybe I can meet such a precious person. Asakusa has grown as one of the downtown areas since the Edo period. It is crowded as a tourist town, overcoming damage such as the Great Kanto Earthquake and air raids.
The street of about 100 meters from Kaminarimon to Asakusa 6 district entertainment district is known as Sushi Restaurant Yokocho.
On the west side, there is Kappabashi equipment street handling goods used in kitchen, and there is a wholesale street on the south side.
Also, in the north area of Senso-ji Temple, which is called the Oku Asakusa, There are many small and medium factories, day laborers and risquee establishments located on the site of old Yoshiwara (Senzoku 3- and 4-chome areas). Asakusa is regarded as a town of common people since the Edo period.
